Contact our teamProduct and technical information
A product’s everyday use does not determine its transport classification. Identify model, manufacturer, composition, physical state, container and quantity. Gather applicable technical information and its version. IATA’s public FAQ identifies manufacturers, distributors, accredited laboratories or authorities as possible classification assistance. Confirm who can review the product and provide a conclusion suited to the planned transport.

Review the SDS
Where an SDS is relevant, match it to the actual product and retain the received version. FedEx Spain advises against using section 14 alone as a definitive conclusion and recommends reviewing other parts of the document. Ask the competent party to confirm classification and required documents. This public page does not establish your perfume’s or aerosol’s UN number, a quantity exemption or a packing method.

Every service and leg
DHL Express Spain lists perfumes and aerosols among examples that may require approval and specific conditions. DHL eCommerce Iberia’s private-shipment page lists dangerous goods as unaccepted in that network. Express approval does not establish acceptance by another network. Confirm origin, destination, account, service, facilities and every planned connection through final delivery.

Applicable acceptance and changes
Retain the acceptance response with the product, quantities, packing and route reviewed. IATA notes that operators may add conditions or refuse goods; FedEx describes service- and destination-dependent limits. Request another review when the product, quantity, packing or a transport leg changes. Warehouse or airline review does not automatically cover the final network. IATA 2027 edition-specific content has not been used here as a 2026 requirement.

Example: another network at destination
In a hypothetical example, a supplier proposes perfumes for international transport followed by parcel delivery in Portugal. The response received covers only an Express service. Before proceeding, identify the destination receiver, final-leg service and whether it accepts the reviewed product and packing. DHL Express and DHL eCommerce public pages show different conditions. This example does not establish an available route or allow Express acceptance to be extended to the final network.

Classification and acceptance questions
Can a product without a battery need review? Yes: composition, physical state and container also matter. Is SDS section 14 sufficient? FedEx recommends checking other parts and confirming the applicable conclusion. Does a seller’s shipping advertisement establish carrier acceptance? Request the response for the actual product, account, service and route. Public references help frame questions; they do not replace competent classification, shipment approval or applicable packing and documentation conditions.

Information for requesting review
Send the product description and identity, known composition and physical state, containers, quantities and available technical information. State origin, destination and intended services for every leg. List received responses and open questions, identifying who can resolve each. Request confirmation of the reviewed scope before booking. Retain the approved data version and seek another review if goods, quantities, packing or route change. Preparing these records does not establish that Jeton or any carrier has approved the shipment.
